Sasha Menshikov is about to finish Grade 7 in a cozy little town where he stays at his aunt’s. He’s new in school and was brought to his aunt from Moscow by his mother, a renowned scientist, for the duration of her field expedition. Sasha’s peers don’t want to make friends with him, so he spends his time walking solo in nature. One day Sasha comes across a fox cub trapped in poacher’s trap. He hides it in a dugout deep in the forest and begins to nurse it. From now on begins their friendship and a touching story of adventure, responsibility, and candour.
