< PRESENTATION OF NEW SERIES >

This past summer Akhangelsk hosted the filming of STS comedy series Iz Pomorov My/We Are Of Pomor Descent starring Pavel Derevyanko as himself. To settle into his role as Lomonosov, Pavel goes to his home village Kholmogory.

In Kholmogory, Pavel is housed by the Belovs. The man of the family Yegor (Anton Bogdanov) works a physically demanding job and despises celebrities. Instead of immersing himself into the life of the Pomors, Pavel finds himself amid the problems of his host family and entire city with its mayor (Artem Volobuev).

The series is the directing debut of Railia Karimova and was filmed in the village of Lomonosovo, named after its most famous inhabitant. The footage shows Lomonosov Memorial Museum, the embankment of the Northern Dvina River, the Arkhangelsk Drama Theater and other local attractions. Crowd scenes used local people. One of them shows Pavel performing a song about the city in support of the local governor.
