In a small Uzbek village of Beldersay, a father, who is a shepherd, exchanges a ram for a pair of red patent leather shoes for his eldest daughter Shahzoda. The six-year-old girl is incredibly happy to get them but the shoes have to be given to her four-year-old sister Tursunoy because they aren’t her size. Shahzoda wants them back at any cost and gets punished for the way she uses to get them. Anticipating her father’s reaction, she starts to fantasize her death.
