Tatyana Seminyako learned the language of the forest and the philosophy of hunting before she learned to read and write. Her and her husband’s ancestors have lived here on the land of Khanties from time immemorial, subsisting on fishing and hunting. Tatiana spent her early years at her grandparents’ in the woods. She knows you have to do it all yourself. Here, you get to eat what you can hunt, wear what you can make, live in where you can build.
